The Guardian Series

Fire and Ice (Guardians #1)

Fire and Ice (Guardians #1)

My debut novel, Fire and Ice is the first book of the Guardian Series. The Guardian series is about an elite team of operatives who works for or have worked for Artemis Guardian Services (AGS).

AGS or simply “The Guardians” as they are known by most of their clients, specializes in small team surgical incursions: K and R (kidnap and ransom), DoD covert ops that are too politically high-risk, Corporate Security Enforcement (usually involving questionable and deadly force), and protective custody detail outsourced by the US Marshals Service.

The books can be described as action-thriller, but the romance is intricately woven into the story. Each book deals with different couples, it is not a three book romance centering on one couple. Each book will also deal with a different ‘baddie’.

The Guardian series is not for every one. This book is not for you if:

      • you don’t like strong language. The characters in this book are gritty, most of them come from the military like the Navy SEALs or Special Forces.
      • you do not like explicit sex scenes. Don’t get me wrong, this is far from erotica After several conversations with my friends, this is indeed erotica, however, the sex scenes are not gratuitous or go on for pages and pages, but they are there. In future books, I might even touch on BDSM. 😉
      • you do not like violence. This is an action-thriller. Things get blown up or shot down and it’s not in the background, the fight scenes are front and center. In the first chapter alone of Fire and Ice, the body count is high.

An ARC reviewer on Goodreads described it best: “Part Clancy, Part Fifty Shades”.

If you are OK with what would be in the book so far, I encourage you to check out the short story prequel to Fire and Ice, Murder and Silk which is in its raw unedited format. (Fire and Ice has been professionally edited) It’ll give you an idea of how the male leads would evolve over the series as it will give you a peek into their sexual proclivities and motivations. Now, Murder and Silk has no romance but is more of an erotic thriller.

Murder and Silk (free short story prequel)

Sex.Drugs.Murder. In this fast-paced prequel to Fire and Ice, one-night stands can be a deadly affair. What Derek Lockwood thought would be a night of every red-blooded male’s fantasy unravels into a nightmare of unexpected violence. Now a woman’s life hangs in the balance and she is quickly running out of time.

Fire and Ice ~ on sale now. Maia and Jack. Chapters 1 and 2 are available here.

Silver Fire ~ target November 2013, maybe earlier. Derek and Sophie Marie. Stay tuned for an excerpt.

Untitled Guardians #3 ~ April 2014. Viktor Baran + ? . I’m saving the baddest badass for last.

I was tempted to write three books on Maia and Jack because I simply loved their characters and I didn’t know if I could bring myself to write about another couple. But as I got started on Silver Fire, how I’ve fallen in love with Derek and Sophie and can’t wait to finish writing their journey together! Just like Fire and Ice, it’s going to get crazy with bad guys and intrigue and our heroes will be out to save the world—okay maybe not the world but a city at least. 🙂

Again, the books do not end in cliffhangers. Now, starting with the second book, I may set-up the relationship for the third book.
